The zip file actually contains the Version 2.56 · Build 250611 of the planner in the specified language. Gray icons indicate that the download is not yet available. Please unpack the archive after downloading it into a directory of your choice.

These archives below include the Excel Soccer World Cup 2010 Planner in the Microsoft Excel 2003 file format (XLS) and in different languages. Each archive has a size of about 10 MB.

Excel Soccer World Cup Planner Version 2.56 – Excel 2007/2010 Open XML files (*.xlsx)

These archives below include the Excel Soccer World Cup 2010 Planner in the Microsoft Excel 2007/2010 Open XML file format (XLSX) and in different languages. The archives have a size between 2.75 and 3.25 MB. You can use this files if you are using Excel 2007 or Excel 2010. If you have Excel 2003 with the Compatibility Pack installed, we recommend you to download the Excel 2003 files.

Excel Soccer World Cup Planner Version 2.56 – Add-In

This archive contains only the Add-In tool without including the planner. Please note, that VBA macros are required, so they may be activated in Excel. Just unpack the archive to a folder of your choice and then please open the file Soccer.2011.xla in Microsoft Excel. When starting for the first time, the tool will open the help file with more informations. Version 2.50 is not compatible with previous versions of the Excel Soccer World Cup Planner. The file includes the three languages.

An online help for the Excel Soccer World Cup Planner and the Add-In tool is available in the three languages German, English and French at the address help.excel-soccer-2011.de. You will need JavaScript activated for correctly viewing the site. On the left side, you can choose the language and topics. Please note, that the help contents were taken from the help file from last year. However the help contents also applies to this version of the planner.

A forum for the Excel Soccer World Cup Planner is available at forum.excel-soccer-2011.de. The forum is available in the three languages German, English and French and may be the first adress where to ask questions about the planner or getting help and support.

Some minor changes to the formatting in the planner, for example, changes to the fixation of row and columns in the sheet with the prediction game. This version is optional.

Unfortunately we discovered an error when calculating the matches for the semi-finals after we published version 2.50 of the planner. And unfortunately too, all people who downloaded version 2.50 may replace their version by the new one.

Version 2.28 · Build 150610 (-) – Add-on tool

On some installations of Excel, we noticed an error in the charts sheet of the exported files. The chart showed incorrect rankings or double entries. This was due to an incorrect result of the TRUNC() function in Excel. We have replaced our formula with a new one which does not use the TRUNC() function. We recommend to install this update and redo the export of the user and prediction data. After the first install of the updated, you may store once again the settings of Add-On tool.

Version 2.27 · Build 130610 (-) – Add-On tool

When transferring data from a planner file which was converted from XLS to XLSX, it is in some cases possible that the number format of the predictions is converted to text. Then, the calculations will not work. If you encounter this problem, we recommend to upgrade the add-on tool. Please not that you may then store the settings once again.

Version 2.26 · Build 030610 (-) – Add-On tool

An error has been fixed when importing the responses to the bonus questions. The error occured in all versions excepted german. This was due to the fact, that the sorting order differs between the different languages. We recommend to download the new version, to unpack the files to the folder of a previous installation and overwrite all files. When starting the tool for the first time, you may save the settings once again.

As many users asked us, we have added the possibility to protect the user and prediction data.

• New page in the main window of the tool for protecting the user and prediction game data.
• The tool now correctly imports the answers to the bonus questions.
• Sometimes, the tool had exported invalid answers to the bonus questions; this was fixed.
• Changes to the help file were made.

Version 2.10 · Build 240510 (-) – Add-On tool

As we are now also providing the planner in the Open XML file format, we have added some features to the Add-On tool:

• Selection for the file format in the main window of the tool. The selection is only available from Excel 2007 or higher.
• The export or the import data will expect the selected file type.
• A new template in the XLSX-Format has been added.
• Some changes have been made in the help file.

Version 2.00 · Build 150510 (B) – Add-On tool

We have fixed an error in the Add-On tool. In some cases, the filenames for the export files were not correctly calculated. This is due to the fact, that we have changed some positions of some cells in the planner but omit to adapt the Add-On tool. After downloading the new archive, you can just unpack the zip file to the folder where you have installed the tool. However, the new version will again ask to save its settings. Sorry for any inconvenience.

We have implemented some minor changes to the Add-On tool. However, a new download is not required for those people who are already using the tool. Changes:

• The tool now directly opens the help file on its first launch and not when opening the main window for the first time.
• We have added the possibility to export the data to Portuguese for Brasil.
• Some minor changes in the help file.

The tool mainly includes following features:

• Centralized management of the Excel Soccer World Cup 2010 Planner.
• Data transfer from previous versions of the planner. The version 1.25, 1.50 and 2.00 are recognized.
• Server query for the game results and tranfer of the results to the planner.
• Template driven export of the data for the games, predictions and users for each user.
• Template driven import if the prediction data for the participants to the prediction game.
• The Add-In is available in German, Englisch and French.
• A help file is also available in the three languages.

This version improves the previous version by including following features:

• The Dutch, Serbian are Russian versions are now available. Thanks to the translators.
• Some images in the planner were replaced or added.
• Some minor compytibility problems in Excel 2007 when displaying textboxes have been resolved.
• The abreviations for the participants to the prediction game can be manually entered as in previous versions.
• An error when displaying the goals statistics has been corrected.
• The selected time zone is now also recognized in the sheets for the tables when displaying the date and time.
• Some texts and headings have been replaced.
• An option for selecting the mode how to display the user names in the sheet for the predictions is again available.
• A new option for settings up if gaps for the rankings for the users in the charts sheet are displayed or not has been added.
• A new option for letting the user earn additive points by predicting the number of goals in the games has been added.
• A new option for selecting which results in the knockout round may be predicted has been added.

Version 1.50 · Build 010310 (A)

This version from 03/02/2010 resolves a small problem in case the original filename was changed before the license terms have been accepted. This problem can also be resolved by renaming the file to its original name, accepting the license and saving the file. After that, the file can be renamed to any name you like. The download of this new version is optional, we have not changed other features.

This version from 03/01/2010 is an improved and extended version of version 1.25 Build 100110 and contains following new features:

• After downloading the file and when opening the file for the first time, you may accept our license terms before using this software. Unfortunately we had to go this step, as some people had violated our license terms. Of course, the planner remains free.
• The prediction game is now accessible via the main menubar.
• The prediction game has been extended to a maximum number of 128 players. It is possible to setup a maximum number of 4 groups with each 32 participants. So, it’s possible to evaluate the prediction game results on a department level.
• We have also extended the sheet for entering the predictions. The colored icons have been removed.
• A new chart sheet for evaluating the prediction game has been added. You can also setup various filters for filtering the results. For example, it is possible to filter out the predictions for the preliminary round or the knockout stage or get the rankings of the participants on a global or departmental level.
• We have added some bonus questions for the participants in the prediction game.
• We have added a new sheet where you can find various options for the planner. You can, for example, select your current timezone, select your favourite team or configure the points for the prediction game and bonus questions.
• We have improved some other functions and changed the layout for some elements.

This version published on 02/08/2010 is an update of the previous version and corrects a typing error for the country “South Africa”. The typing error had an impact on showing the results for group A. Only the english version of the planner was affected.

This version published on 01/10/2010 is an update of the previous version and includes some changes for better ensuring the compatibility in Excel 2007 and Excel 2010:

• Data validation fields were replaced with controls in the sheet displaying the results of the group stage.
• Some conditionals formats have been removed in the sheet for displaying the prediction game.
• Some changes in some formulas were made, also for ensuring the compatibility with Excel 2007 and 2010.

• The date and time formattings are now shown in the user’s system format.

• The weekday is now shown on some sheets.
• A mode for simulating the system date has been added.

• An error in the print preview for 2 sheets was fixed.
